While Abaddon the Despoiler has moved on to Vigilus, another villain is looking to make the system his new playground. Almost every detail from the classic model is present and correct. The Greyshields – despite never even having met their Renegade brothers – are immediately declared traitors and eliminated by the Custodes and other Imperial Agents in the fleet. In War of the Spider, we don’t get as much of that.

The Psychic Awakening series continues with War of the Spider. Very interesting tidbit from the stream is that the Talon's contingent was sent to bring Primaris to a Chapter that they presumably didn't know had gone Renegade. • 2:45PM – Psychic Awakening: The Next ChapterThe eighth book in the galaxy-spanning Psychic Awakening reaches the ruins of Cadia. Custodes get cheaper troops and psychic protection, Sisters get some teeth and HQs. This sort of story, one that puts its own evilness on full display, is good to see accompanying this book.
The "factions" are Adeptus Custodes (and some other Imps), Assassins, Deathguard, Fabius & renegade Marines.

In that short story we see the genocidal brutality carried out by the Imperium upon it’s own citizens—even Space Marines!—who have committed no sin other than sharing blood and DNA with heretics. They are running a repeat of the preview now if anyone wants to listen in again.
Book 8 of the Psychic Awakening series. War of the Spider details the pivotal battles between Fabius Bile together with the Fallen Brazen Drakes (now the Shriven) against the Death Guard, while a wayward Torchbearer Fleet harries them both.
