Oka Sushi is SUCH a welcome addition to Fountain Hills. The rolls and the nigiri sushi were good and savory.
Appetizers plentiful and tasty. I've been to many, many Brazilian steak houses and they all have one thing in common -- they are slow.
Nice atmosphere and good experience in every way for us so far. This is our new favorite restaurant.

On the Fourth of July, my partner-in-dine and I headed over to Fountain Hills for a long weekend. This makes the meal a little expensive. Even my friend from L.A. who is a "sushi snob" says it was some of the best she's ever had. This is our first visit,and we weren't disappointed. We find ourselves coming here at least once a week. I've been on *several* occasions and each time the food was good, service was prompt, the restaurant is clean, open, airy, and welcoming.
But anyone who regularly eats real sashimi will know right away the quality is not there. The food is EXCELLENT and John and his staff do a great job with their service. My boyfriend and I were roaming around several weeks ago at Kierland Commons looking for a place…". Have gotten some noodle dishes, pan fried beef dishes and many different rolls. Located within walking distance to Fountain Park, it's a great place to grab lunch or dinner and spend the afternoon or evening around the Fountain.
My mom always gets ngiri and, thus far, they've always had Uni available (a rarity!). Can't wait to dine in again!!

Everything has been great! They've been trying to revitalize downtown, and Oka Sushi is an awesome starting point.
It is summer so the bar window wasn't open but you can tell it does open and you can sit outside. Nice people, mediocre food.
We've also taken guests here when visiting. Atmosphere is nice. They have cooked items on the menu. We've eaten here quite a few times since they opened.
