Balloon Fiesta Camping at Cotham Park Cotham Park offers camping facilities for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta weekend. The Balloon Fiesta Park, is a huge field that hosts the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta each year.On a weather permitting morning, you will see over 500 balloons inflate and take flight.
The Fiesta only accepts online reservations and does not allow drive ups during the event. RVers report that they waited in line for over 2 hours just to get to the registration office and be escorted to their space when they arrived on the Friday before the Fiesta.
If an event is cancelled, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park will stay open unless the weather is hazardous and some balloons may even inflate but not take off. To get home, you catch the bus right outside the launch field and then just tell the driver which row to stop and they’ll drop you right by your RV. If you’re looking to minimize stress and maximize balloon interactions, consider staying on-site at the Fiesta Grounds in one of The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta’s four rally-style RV camping areas.
