1) The Rascals (initially known as The Young Rascals) were an American soul and rock group of the 1960s. The Rascals' debut album Rascalize was released on 23 June, 2008 (first released on iTunes on 15 June, 2008). Brigati, with his brother David, released "Lost in the Wilderness" in 1976. The group's growing ambition was reflected in the change from The Young Rascals to simply The Rascals.
The only single release from the album was the spiritually-themed Glory, Glory(#57 in the US), with backing vocals by The Sweet Inspirations. | Unusual for their time, the Rascals refused to tour on segregrated bills. Their early—and primary—output was all recorded on Atlantic Records and produced with Arif Mardin. Danelli, Cornish and Cavaliere reunited in 1988 for a US tour at The Rascals, but split soon after and were involved in a nasty law suit over the use of the band's name. Eddie Brigati recorded a solo album with his brother David in 1976. The pair proceeded to play their biggest hit, "Good Lovin'", with Cavaliere reprising his famous Hammond B-3 organ solo.
Eddie Brigati (vocals), Felix Cavaliere (keyboard, vocals), Gene Cornish (guitar) and Dino Danelli (drums) started the band in Brigati and Danelli's hometown of Garfield, New Jersey.

Rascals' drummer Soon the band began to mature as songwriters and released other hit songs written themselves, including the hit "Groovin'" (1967), "It's Wonderful", "How Can I Be Sure" (which got to #1 in the UK when covered by David Cassidy), and "A Beautiful Morning" (1968). Cornish and Danelli started a new band called Bullfrog and later teamed up with former Raspberries guitarist, Wally Bryson in Fotomaker. As soon as you put a drum in music, it's R&B.
