Employees of the monastery shared a festive brunch with the community on February 24. On February ninth, priest friends and monks of the three New Jersey Abbeys were invited to Vespers and dinner to celebrate the feast of St. Scholastica, the twin sister of St. Benedict.

Urban dioceses have seen a 27.5% drop in enrollment in Catholic elementary schools nationally; previously there were fifteen Catholic elementary schools in the City of Elizabeth, and currently there are only two schools remaining in the city.
