It started as a private collection of Byzantine and Old Russian art that obtained the official status of public museum and became member of the IСOM (International Council of Museums). I loved the small town of Clinton, MA. I enjoyed my visit. The museum's collection totals about 4,000 works including about 600 icons. We received a tour by the docent, Mr Flynn. It was terrific. I mean, the depth of their explanations are great- if you are a conosseaur of Russian art or a Eastern European History buff, but for  high schoolers, myself included, the tour was boring.Overall though, fascinating museum. The Museum is not able to provide assistance with travel, lodging, or other costs related to the internship. Through this internship I gained a much greater understanding of the museum world, and what I hoped to accomplish in the future.
