At the top of the Allmendhubel funnicular. After a minute or so, you’ll see the campground on your left. There is a playground for the kiddies and generally lots of room to run around. There are shared bathrooms and shower facilities directly outside the room that we found clean and decent.
This playground is located in the alpine village Mürren in the Jungfrau region. This was a lovely day, topped off by some ice cream and shopping back in the valley. See Terms & Conditions. That and Trummelbach Falls top the list for my return. They provide blankets and pillows, but you’ll want your own sleeping bag or linens. Cathy and Dave bravely volunteered to accompany me to my favorite sad place in Europe - the Lowendenkmal. But walking along this ridge path, valley below, peaks changing position as the path moved, well, it was an experience. The path was hilly and steep in places, but I had gotten my mountain legs (or, more likely lungs). It’s a short walk to the Lauterbrunnen train station, where you can catch a mountain train up to Kleine Scheidegg, then walk on the easy panorama trail to Männlichen, where they have a fun playground for the kids. The 18-hole mini-golf course at the foot of the Staubbach waterfall invites young and old to enjoy a leisurely and sporty pastime. Overview Lauterbrunnen is located in the Berner Oberland, in the middle of the Jungfrau region, easily accessible by car or train. The minigolf course is close to Camping Jungfrau, discounts are available with your Lauterbrunnen guest card. The tour couldn't be over if we never left here, right?
First, some raclette. The summer toboggan run Pfingstegg is great fun for the whole family! But you could easily imagine spending a day here in a cafe, taking in the view. Open from June to September. The Lauterbrunnen valley walk starts right at the campground, following this low traffic road down the valley to the Trummelbach falls and Schilthorn cable car.
