Moresby Hall is an oasis for guests who may not wish to stay in a large, impersonal or modern Hotel. There was a Roman fort at Moresby, believed to have been called Gabrosentum, the perimeter banks of which can be seen in aerial photos and on the ground. Moresby Hall enjoys a semi-rural location with delightful walled gardens for our guests to enjoy. Sumptuous four poster rooms with hydro massage power shower & steam enclosure or Jacuzzi bath + TileVision colour TV en-suite. We were cycling without and support vehicle and the hotel kindly let us leave my car in the car park until we came back to collect it a few days later.
Guests are welcome to leave a car here, at their own risk but should be quite safe in our private car park for the duration. Yes, it is 0.6 miles away from the center of Moresby. We were very happy to collect your luggage at the station so you could continue your day unencumbered, if we can do so we're especially glad to help with small tasks like this for our guests.

Moresby Hall is a wonderful venue for the smaller wedding where exclusive use enables the unique ambience and intimacy to come into its own for such a special day. Its surprisingly spacious and as you say, the flexibility of breakfast or dinner in Moresby Hall is welcomed if you don't want to self cater. Thank you Jane and David.

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm glad your future in-laws liked the room with the Jacuzzi bath, a touch of luxury with the colour TV in the en-suite bathroom. Our hosts could not have been kinder, particularly in dealing with our luggage (we were travelling on public transport - if you're planning on doing that, bear in mind that the walk up from Parton station is practically vertical ;-) ), and their Covid hygiene measures were very reassuring. It is simply wonderful place to stay, a hidden gem, which is why we have chosen to have our wedding at this venue next year.
