We would have walked away if it wasn’t raining outside. We walked everywhere during our time in Lucerne. We had to stand at the front for about 5 minutes...before some acknowledged our presence. Also the breakfast included was so spartan. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the bed was very comfortable, room was very clean and if you can afford it get the balcony room. The Swiss trains are incredibly efficient but expensive.
