A little background on me… I studied archaeology at the University of Exeter and graduated in 2010, followed by a Masters in forensic archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology at UCL. Execution of field programme, with input from Head of Fieldwork, Programme Manager and Directors, Lead on-site delivery of field archaeology projects, including supporting and leading DVs field team, Manage and grow project relationships with stakeholders such as landowners, clients and monitoring bodies, Be responsible for the field-based collection and management of the site archive (including digital records, images and finds), Support management of project logistics, tracking project resources with the Programme Manager and Director of Operations, Completion of projects to the satisfaction of client, local and national stakeholders, and the DV team, Working with DVs Directors to expand the field programme, Supporting the delivery of our public-facing field programme, Attending meetings as necessary and occasionally deputising for DV Directors as appropriate, Some evening and weekend working will be required, TOIL will be given in these instances, Archaeology degree or equivalent sector experience, At least 3+ years professional experience in field archaeology, equivalent to BAJR Grade 5, or experienced ACIfA level, archaeologist, Experience of writing WSIs and archaeological evaluation and excavation reports, High level of professionalism, and ability to understand and respond appropriately to different audiences, Excellent judgement in dealing with clients, stakeholders and colleagues, Excellent organisational, time and self-management skills, Knowledge of applications, including GIS, Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Full and clean UK driver’s license and own transportation, Accreditation – membership at minimum ACIfA level of CIfA.
