Our. unacceptable that the car parking tickets are non refundable and the insurance only covers the ticket holders inability to attend in extreme weather and not the whole event being cancelled. We are unable to wait until 6pm for some other balloons so have spent £30, yes £30, in parking for nothing. Parking was also extortionate (£20.00 and you still had to walk half a mile or so) and the parking attendant told us he had turned people away from the priority parking area (pre-booked at additional cost) due to it being full.
