The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have lost two key receivers, but have added a ton of size and speed to the room this offseason. © 2004-2020 CBS Interactive.

OJ Howard and Cameron Brate will be the top two tight ends on the team with Antony Auclair making the team as the third tight end if the Bucs go that route. He is active in blocking for the run and was a good gunner on special teams. Tampa Bay signed 13 free agents after the draft, three of them being wide receivers. With Howard and Brate as your tights ends, that is like having two extra wide receivers as Howard is know more for his catching ability than his blocking.
In 2018 with the Browns, Perriman had 16 catches for 340 yards and two touchdowns.
He will not turn 26 till August 13th. In a perfect world, Pittman will simply be used to the best of his abilities and in a place like Tampa Bay who already have two big time receivers, that’s a possibility for Pittman Jr. “Need” is a strong word here in the same case as it was for Moss in yesterday’s Draft Profile. There is a very real chance that at some point in the next year or two, this team has to make a decision as to whether or not it can afford to pay two number one receivers, number one money.
He is an excellent example of a wide receiver that may not have the best separation skills out there but compensates well for that with his physicality and hands at the catch point. Look for 2nd year receiver Justin Watson and Bobo Wilson to battle it out for the fifth receiver spot on the team. He also has the Buccaneer record for the most receiving yards in a season with 1,524. In 2018 Perriman was cut by the Ravens, and then went on to play with the Washington Redskins and the Cleveland Browns. Godwin is coming off a 2018 campaign where he caught 59 balls for 842 yards for seven touchdowns and averaged just over 14 yards a catch. Expected Return - Week 4, Calf: IR. Why you ask after being a fan of Ohio teams for so long would I switch allegiances to the Tampa Bay teams? The team needs a number three receiver but I’m just not personally sold on the idea that it should be Pittman Jr. With a deep class of talented young wide outs, surely a shiftier option would make more sense for Brady as a go-to emergency target a-la Julian Edelman. The arsenal is loaded and ready to be unleashed. Evans has the Bucs record for most receiving touchdowns in Buccaneer history with two season of 12.
All these NFL and Buccaneer records were accomplished before the age of 25. Evans has 21, 100 receiving yard games. The youngest player to have 5 seasons of 1,000 yards receiving, and the youngest player to have 200 yards receiving in a game as Evans was just 21 years 87 days when he accomplished that feat.

The team already has two big time weapons at receiver and the player lost via free agency, Breshad Perriman, was much more of a dynamic speedster than a possession-esque talent like Pittman Jr. That said, Pittman’s abilities still fit the bill for what Tampa Bay likes to do on offense. With Breshad Perriman officially not coming back, could Pittman Jr. be an immediate replacement? The Bucs averaged just 24 points per game good with all that offensive firepower good for 12th in the league. The 2018 Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the number one passing offense in the NFL averaging 320 yards per game. In time, I want this to be a place where fans of the Rays, Bucs, and Lightning can come together and discuss the current state of sports in Tampa Bay.
Michael Pittman, Jr., son of former Buc and Super Bowl champion Michael Pittman, could potentially be an early round target and plug and play type in the third receiver role this year. This season Godwin will become the number two receiver behind Evans and has the potential to have a Pro Bowl season. The Bucs drafted Scotty Miller a small wide receiver from Bowling Green in the sixth round, and from watching him at OTA’s and minicamp, Miller is going to be an integral of this Bucs receiving group.
I support the local teams.
