I did not live in the dorm because there was not enough housing, they just installed dorms though, and I have heard they're fantastic. Top-down management is out of touch with practicing what they preach and it's widely visible throughout the abundance of angst and competition between departments. Is it the right college for you? *Prescott is a beautiful town, I have been working at Prescott College full-time for more than 8 years. Students are awesome. Liberal, understanding, kind, peaceful, hippies, vegetarians, rock climbers, hikers, outdoorsy people, etc. There is lots of freedom to pursue independent studies, studies abroad, and even self-designed majors. The food is yummy, and mostly convenient if you don't order something that needs to be cooked from scratch.

I was fairly academic in high school and got good grades, but I wanted a new and interesting college experience, with more of a focus on my own personal growth. Love this job. And if you take any outdoor ed classes you are provided with crazy opportunities few people in their life have the chance to take.

Ask a question about working or interviewing at Prescott College. They have excellent laptops, and most of the tech is pretty good. One thing to keep in mind for Prescott College, though I believe it applies to most anything, is that you will get out of it precisely how much you put into it. Working at Prescott College was both challenging and rewarding.

Trying to reason with the senior leadership meant facing fanatical opposition, and it usually ends in termination. They have been improving their pay scale, and if their efforts continue at the rate they're going, they could be competitive with the locals in about 5 to 10 years, which is fantastic.
