Monster Rancher 4 has a more traditional polygonal look, giving a mini makeover to the new monster designs introduced in MR3. He loves it. I love them all though! The idea's the same: raise cutesy monsters (five at once this time), enter them in tournaments, and have them tag along with you in adventures across a generic RPG land. It is a very fun game for people who love raising things, and this game progresses a lot faster than the original. The story line is ok. The game window will look like it normally does when you play on a PS2 console. Hey, I ripped Monster Rancher 4 to my PC the other day and just realized that I'm probably gonna have a terrible time trying to swap discs to get new monsters. It's still Monster Rancher, though, and it's still great for fans like me, but it's not the step forward I was craving.
