New to Gundam? Welcome to r/Gundam! And while not every scene is this different, this original scene looks like a different show than the remaster scene. It doesn't shoehorn in cameos to try and make the shit sequel legitimate.. And some of the re-drawn scenes are actually worse.. It's considered the definitive version now. The last 2 episodes of the remaster flow into Destiny (if you're going to watch that) more consistently than the original. The 16:9 aspect ratio* is nicer on the eyes to boot. Go with the Original. For vanilla SEED, you forgot the scene where Kira gave Flay the (SEE)D. And they didn't fix the problems from the original.
But the story is still a trainwreck..oh and an unsscary panty shot of luna. I made this a while back showing just how many changes went into some of the episodes in SEED HD. I'd say original.

For something that came out more than 10 years ago. HD Remaster made some "retcons" to make certain people look better but instead came across as really pandering and bullshit. Skip the HD remaster, and skip it's sequel altogether. It looked absolutely fine. The HD Remaster is the definitive version of SEED to watch; anything after SEED you see, will be based off of SEED HD, and not the original airing. Certainly, the designs look more uniform between Gundam Seed and Destiny, but it absolutely screws with the actual feel Seed had. Which is pretty much only the perfect strike..
