blanching the Basil will leach the flavor & oils into the water.....BAD IDEA. And if you do plan to freeze some spinach, blanching is not a bad idea. But a food processor, like I use in today’s recipe, works very well. Made it with spicy lemon basil I needed to use up quick.

My food processor doesn’t have a way to stream in oil while processing because it’s more of an upside-down blender with a cover.
