Essentially, nothing has changed for 2,000 pt games so don’t worry.

Oddly enough this will make the SM Combat Squads ability actually useful again!

This time around, list building!

Definitely neat to see 40k evolve and take on some elements of Age of Sigmar, which is an outstanding game.

They said that their special detachments will have similar rules to make it so they start off with the same amount of CP. Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group, and make sure you enter the latest monthly giveaway for FREE today!

If you are on a personal connection, like at home, you can run an anti-virus scan on your device to make sure it is not infected with malware. So here we are. You could have one person that makes a list that's viable but only has like 5CP, and another person with the same army that has 13CP. Taking multiple detachments will likely not hurt too badly.

Of course, these are only the minimum size requirements for your battlefields, so whether you’re using a 6′x4′ table with a Realm of Battle board, linking two, four or six 22″x30″ Killzone boards together according to the battle size you’re playing, or just using a dining room table, you’re good to go. That is, there are Detachments where you can run 1-3 HQ's with a minimum of 3 of any non-Troop role - 3 Fast Attack, 3 Heavy Support, etc. Spikey Bits is a site about the hobby of tabletop wargaming.

Reading through how detachments will effect CP, like how the initial Battalion will essentially be free, but every detachment after will cost CP.

A Brigade requires you take to 3 each of Fast Heavy and Elite but the provides even more slots after that. You can certainly fit 2000 points in that (even before point increases) IF you don't take MSU squads.

I don't see a reason for other horde armies due to the fact that you're effectively trading points for CP and the trade might not skew in CPs' favor).

9th Edition is upon us. I expect to see Battalion be the standard for most armies.

Admech and IG are big on running multiple battalions because they can and it gave them a ton of CP. Finally, Combat Patrols are geared toward quick games that you can play in a very short amount of time (assuming both players know the rules). Brutal Black Orc Barcelona, Spain So this opens an interesting dinamic that may be interesting to certain types of armies. I don't really like what they did with detachments subtracting CPs from your fixed amount: it effectively punishes you for taking detachments even if you wanted to stay mono and if you play armies that kinda need multiple detachments (like IG/Orks/GSC): I would have preferred having your CPs lowered by 2 CPs for each different codex added to your army (so Mono would be 12, little soup 10 and complete soup 8 at 2k), therefore actually giving you a reason to be mono instead of punishing you anyway with detachments costs, even if a bit less than another army's detachment.
